Introduction

38 STEPS – Interlinked Star is a complex interesting geometry model in Solidworks.
This 3D model is designed based on a dodecahedron in which each face consists of a star and supports each other


Feature

Revolve / Split Line / Dome / Loft / Circular Pattern / Cut-extrude / Shell / Body-move/copy

Step 1  Top Plane

Draw a construction pentagon and a centerline

Step 2 In the same sketch

  Draw another construction pentagon.
Add equal relation to the centerline and bigger pentagon
(Light blue line)

Step 3  Front Plane

Draw two construction line and
add coincident relation on the previous pentagon

Step 4  Insert a new plane (A)

Select the pink and purple construction line in the picture 

Step 5  Plane(A)

  Draw a pentagon and add coincident relation to the existing sketches

Step 6  Insert a new Axis(1)

 Select the top plane and blue point

Step 7   Insert a new Axis(2)

Select the blue point and plane(A)

Draw a R 70mm arc as shown picture

Offset entities and assign an inward distance of 3mm

Assign a thickness of 3mm

Assign a Fillet radius of 2.4mm

Select the blue surface and
assign a shell thickness of 1.3mm

Add a Fillet radius  of 0.75mm

Step 35 Body-move/copy

Assign a rotation value  of 120 deg

Change the number of instances into 
with equal spacing 360 deg

Select all the bodies

Select the centre point as rotation reference

元亨。利牝馬之貞。君子有攸往,先迷,後得主,利。西南得朋,東北喪朋。安貞吉

卦意

坤(Hexagram Kun)卦是《易經》六十四卦之第二卦。上上卦
坤為地(坤卦)柔順伸展,;地是廣大的,地上萬物生長,象徵當前關係比較寬鬆而悠閒。
形像說明當前主客關係狀態。相對於我們所在位置來說,地是靜止的,代表當前關係是靜止狀態,變化較少。
相較於乾屬「領導者」之卦,坤則為「追隨者」之卦。 坤卦為十二消息卦,原文『地勢坤,君子以厚德載物』,坤卦六爻皆陰,象徵大地的母親,是最柔順的掛,來者不. 拒可以說是包容萬物,柔順溫和又堅強,,全卦比做「母馬」,馳行大地沒有疆界,地面上相當具有行動力。『厚德載物』中的厚代表日積月累,涓滴成河,同樣的彖傳坤卦「至哉坤元,萬物資生」,日月累積才能產生出的厚度。沒有長期的努力是不會成功的,在人生處境中往往比做以下處境,弱勢對強勢。下屬對長官。子女對父母 ,在這些時刻需要溫順如大地負責盡職,在時機尚未成熟時,寧可厚植實力,收斂心思

坤卦爻辭

初六 – 『屬霜,堅冰至』

〖譯文〗踩踏在霜上,堅硬的冰到來
〖解說〗在寒冬來臨前需心思敏銳,觀察入微,預做準備,一切事物的開始時期有如在霜地和處嚴冬一樣不容易。


六二 -『直方大,不習無不利』

〖譯文〗正直、方正,而大度能容,天生有此德,不待學習,無所不利
〖解說〗在辦任何事時保持君子氣質,只要堅持正直,辦事有規矩方圓,並懷有博大的德業,既就是不用練習什麼其它,就此也足夠順利暢通無阻。


六三 -『含章可貞,或從王事,無成有終』

〖譯文〗包含優美內涵,可以堅持下去,有時侯順從王意做事,沒有成功,但會有一個結局
〖解說〗此一爻有一個時空觀念,若自身有一定的知識素質與道德修養,可以選擇跟隨於王者做事,當此條件還不成熟之時,又要去從事王事帝業,雖不能有所成就但也可以有個歸宿。


六四 -『刮囊,無咎無譽』

〖譯文〗將袋口綁緊,沒有災難也沒有稱譽,刮囊即是守口如瓶,謹言慎行,明哲保身以求得沒有罪咎。
〖解說〗六四為近於君位的多憂之地,又是陰爻居柔位,走到了六四,到了接近君王的位置,因此只能戰戰競競,謹慎小心,以求得不犯錯,這時適宜謹言慎行, 不求有功,但求無過。


六五 -『黃裳,元吉〗

〖譯文〗黃色下裙,大吉
〖解說〗黃裳比喻性情柔順而中庸。六五柔中,又處尊位,有美德而能自然表現於外君臨天下,到了一個極盛時期,此時自當大吉大利


上六 – 『龍戰於野,其血玄黃』

〖譯文〗龍在郊野相鬥,相爭不下兩敗俱傷,滴下黑黃色的血液與泥土相混雜而成玄黃色
〖解說〗此比喻人未能一開始就辨明正邪,剛愎自用,最終疑心致極而引發爭端。另一比喻為小人居君子位,為惡多端,最終事態敗露而引來災難,窮途而沒路,故《象傳》說「其道窮也」


用六 – 『利永貞』

〖譯文〗利於永遠堅持下去
〖解說〗宜於永遠貞定,卜到坤卦六爻全變,也就是「坤之乾」,則以「用六」為占驗。六個陰爻全部都變,符合陰隨陽,及坤卦堅持到底的德性。因此利永貞。用九為群龍無首之象,用六則是從一而終,專一堅定到底,蓋因坤陰之美德在於「貞」,因此用六曰「永貞」,為能永遠謹守貞正之美德。

坤卦六爻皆陰,有陰而無陽,有地而無天,並沒有變化的條件,
既然如此何不謹言慎行,磨練智慧,安身應對,等待時機的來臨?
